Campus-Wide Information Systems and the UCFV Research Review will devote special issues to selected papers from ICICTE 2007 while Interactive Learning Environments will publish ICICTE 2007 selected papers over 3-4 issues. Conference papers will be considered by each publication?s editorial board and authors will be invited to submit journal-length articles.

Graduate Student Paper Prize
 

UCFV will award the UCFV Graduate Student Paper Prize ICICTE 2007 of 1000 euros for research contribution to the annual conference. Up to 5 finalists will be invited to present their research at the Graduate Student Award Symposium of the conference. All final papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
Submission Procedures:

  • Students who wish to participate will submit a proposal following the conference call for papers (http://icicte.com/isite/papers/call4papers.asp).
  • Graduate Student Papers will be evaluated using the same double-blind procedure employed for other conference paper proposals with the exception that graduate student papers will be identified as such.
  • Authors of accepted proposals will be required to submit the first draft of their paper along with a letter from their graduate advisor stating why they believe their student's paper should be considered for the award (Deadline: March 28, 2007). Up to five students will be invited to present their research in the Graduate Student Award Symposium.
  • Comments will be forwarded to the authors, and final manuscripts, with editorial changes, must be received by May 14, 2007. The papers will be published in the proceedings under the title: Information Communication Technologies in Education. Papers received after the deadline will not be included in the proceedings.

Eligibility:
Entrants must have been registered as a graduate student for a least one semester during the 12-month period prior to the annual meeting. There is no age limit. The experimental work reported must have been performed by the entrant named as the first author of the abstract proposed and the final paper.

Selection Procedures:
An evaluation committee formed by members of the Scientific Committee will evaluate all submissions. On the basis of the proposals, this committee will issue invitations to submit the full paper. Up to 5 finalists will be accepted on the basis of the first submission of the paper. Those selected will be informed at the time their paper's first draft of paper is accepted for the conference. Their work will be presented as 15-minute oral presentations, with the opportunity for 10 minutes of discussion at the end of each presentation. Following this session, members of the evaluation committee will select a winner who will be announced at the closing ceremonies of the conference.

Papers not selected for presentation as finalists in the Graduate Student Award Symposium are still eligible to be presented at the conference in a regular session.

Prizes:
All finalists will have their conference fees waived providing their supervisor registers for the conference by May 21, 2007. The winner of the Student Paper Prize will receive 1000 euros to help pay for the travel expenses necessary for their participation at the conference. All finalists who are present during the closing ceremonies will receive a framed citation. In addition, all papers will automatically be considered for the Selected Papers ICICTE 2007 issue of Campus-Wide Information Systems,the Selected Papers ICICTE 2007 issue of the UCFV Research Review and for publication in Interactive Learning Environments.
